Salam Ramadan 1444H

I hope I’m not too late to wish everyone with Salam Ramadan! I pray that we all can make the most of this blessed month and strive to be the best versions of ourselves. I’d also like to take this opportunity to ask for forgiveness from everyone, and I hope we can start fresh.

I was watching lots of ‘Ramadan’ vlogs on Tiktok the other day, and it moved me how all Muslims around the world are doing the same thing. We’re all fasting. We’re all working to get closer to Allah swt. We’re all striving to be better in some way, and that’s wonderful. Something I constantly remind myself is that Allah swt loves person who is consistently improving themselves. That is what we should try to do everyday, especially during this holy month. Even though the satan is locked away, his influence remains. That’s why we are still too lazy to pray, or to do anything else that is beneficial. So our goal this month should be to eliminate the influence of satan on us,

Ramadan is a month that teaches us to be obedience. For example, for one month, halal food becomes haram during the day. Even those who rarely pray will fast during this month, but why? Most of the time, we are supposed to obey Allah swt without question. So prior to and during Ramadan, we hear about why we should fast, why it’s good for us, what it can bring us, and so on. That’s why we find it is easier to perform the act of worship. Because we know that it’s good for us. But what about other months, where we don’t obey as much. The reason is straightforward: it’s because we don’t fully comprehend why we have to. That is why Allah swt gives us Ramadan. This entire month is dedicated to training our hearts to accept and obey. If we can refrain from food (that is important for us to live) during Ramadan, I’m sure we can refrain from things that are actually haram in other months. All we need to do is educate ourselves. All of Allah’s commands have a purpose, and everything He asks for us is for our benefit. The sooner we realise this, the easier it is to obey without question and instead seek to understand.

Again, salam Ramadan to everyone! Always be grateful and I love you guys.

My first day of sahoor and iftar
